You will want to have these ingredients as pantry staples to whip up a batch to satisfy a nibble craving or to set out when friends drop by for a glass of wine. Ingredients:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl whisk the egg white until frothy and whisk in the Herbed Rub. Add the nuts to the egg mixture and stir to coat well. Spray a large baking sheet with the olive oil and spread the nuts out onto the sheet in a single layer. Place baking sheet in oven and bake 10 minutes. If adding sugar, sprinkle it over the nuts before baking. Serve warm. Note: The nuts can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for several weeks and brought to room temp or microwaved for 30 seconds before serving. This is a lower fat version, if that is not of concern to you, substitute a couple of tablespoons of melted butter for olive oil or for the egg white." |
